clean

Aqua

A fancy way of saying water.

Cocamidopropyl Betaine

The god of all (kinda) surfactants. It interacts with water to make molecules slippery so they don’t stick together. When they don’t stick together they’re more likely to bond with dirt so when you wash away the day, CLEAN and dirt rinse all together.

Cetyl Betaine

A non-toxic surfactant that is made by reacting naturally-derived alkyl dimethyl tertiary amine with sodium monochloroacetate. Lots of big words, we know. All you need to know is that betaine’s have multifunctional properties that make your skin feel nice.

Sodium Lauroamphoacetate

A very gentle cleansing ingredient. It’s also a surfactant that can rid dirt and oil.

Decyl Glucoside

A natural and biodegradable ingredient made from corn that’s the opposite of drying. This ingredient was hand picked because it’s natural and kind to the world and sensitive skin. The triple threat.

Sodium Chloride

We like this on potato crisps, and in CLEAN. It makes our tummies happy (we’re talking the crinkle cut variety) and is used as a thickener in our Body Cleanser.

Sodium Lauroyl Lactylate

A natural, food grade emulsifier (AKA stabiliser) which feels super smooth when applying. It helps CLEAN slightly lather (not too much, because that’s drying for our sensitive skin) to nourish and protect.

Phenoxyethanol

This guy protects CLEAN from the baddies getting in. It works extra hard to ensure no pathogens (ie. bacterium) multiply. It’s super stable and has a concentration level of 0.75%.

Glycerin

your dry skin’s best friend. Glycerin is a humectant, which essentially ensures skin doesn’t dry out by holding water tight in top layers of the skin. No moisture loss ‘ere.

Citric acid

We use this in cooking (tip: great lemon substitute), but also as a pH buffer to prevent CLEAN from being too alkaline-y.

Panthenol

A derivative of vitamin B-5, which is essential for a healthy diet, skin, and hair. It’s soothing and hydrating with anti-inflammatory properties build a barrier against irritation and water loss.

Trehalose

A natural sugar we use for extreme nourishment. It’s a strong antioxidant and has rehydrating and water binding properties.

Sodium Lactate

A hydrating buffering agent to adjust the pH level and act as a bacteriostatic agent. AKA stops bacteria from reproducing.

Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride

Derived from oils and glycerin and hand picked for its soothing properties. It’s packed with a mix of fatty acids that replenish the skins surface and resists moisture loss.

Cetearyl Alcohol

Not the type of alcohol you think (wink). Instead, a mix of gentle cetyl and stearyl alcohols to ensure COAT can go on easily and not irritate the skin.

Glycerin

Your dry skin’s best friend. Glycerin is a humectant, which essentially ensures skin doesn’t dry out by holding water tight in top layers of the skin. No moisture loss ‘ere.

Glyceryl Stearate

Used to act as a lubricant on the skin’s surface, so you’re left with a soft and smooth appearance. Another goodie that slows moisture loss.

Cetearyl Glucoside

A natural emulsifier derived from plant sugars and fatty acids which help COAT’s consistency be all round awesome.

A form of Vitamin E, an antioxidant which makes your skin feel super healthy and nourished. It also ensures COAT lasts longer in your bathroom by keeping oils and ingredients from going rancid.

Ricinus Communis (Castor) Seed Oil

An anti-inflammatory ingredient with healing powers that stimulate tissue growth to form a barrier between your dramatic skin and the world. The holy grail.

Hydroxystearic Acid

This guy helps all the other ingredients in BALM spread evenly and feel silky smooth.

Dextrin Palmitate

Another ingredient that holds BALM together. It’s also give it that velvety feeling.

Myristic/Palmitic/Stearic/Ricinoleic/Eicosanedioic Glyceride

A slashie, much like your friend that has five jobs and she’s really successful even though you don’t get it. In short, this keeps your skin in check by keeping it extra nourished.

Punica Granatum Sterols

A special ingredient which contains essential fatty acids and known antioxidant properties that quench the skin and boost cell regeneration while protecting it.
Note: we have done in-depth testing on BALM, and no salicylates were detected.

Tocopherol

A form of Vitamin E which moisturises and strengthens the skin barrier. It’s also known for soothing inflammation and redness.

Bis-Hydroxy/Methoxy Amodimethicone

A special ingredient that reduces frizz, without weighing the hair down. Even try using MASK as a hair mask, your curls will be bouncing.

Zinc PCA

Pyrithione zinc, AKA zinc pyrithione, has antibacterial, antimicrobial, and antifungal properties which is here to help calm stubborn seborrheic dermatitis, dandruff, scalp psoriasis, and acne.

Sodium PCA

A humectant that naturally occurs in our skin — a natural, hydrating agent derived from oils, plants, and fruits. Its nature allows it to attract moisture from the surrounding air and retain the moisture of your hair and skin. 

Cetrimonium Chloride

An ingredient that prevents static and build-up, while cleansing both the skin and hair. She’s also a gem that eliminates odor by preventing the growth of microorganisms, by enabling water to mix with dirt and rinsing it away. 

Amodimethicone

Helps to improve the manageability, texture, and appearance of curly, wavy or textured hair. 

Polyquaternium-7

This one will bring compliments. A great detangler, which adds softness and shine to the hair. 

Climbazole

A fancy anti-fungal ingredient that can help with itchy scalps. Essentially what MASK was made for. 

Tocopheryl Acetate

A form of Vitamin E, an antioxidant that makes your skin feel super healthy and nourished. It also ensures MASK lasts longer in your bathroom by keeping oils and ingredients from going rancid. 

Trideceth-12

This guy makes sure there’s no build-up on your scalp/hair. A must-have.

Phenoxyethanol

An ingredient that protects MASK from the baddies getting in. It works extra hard to ensure no pathogens (ie. bacterium) multiply. It’s super stable and has a concentration level of 0.98%. 

Citric Acid

We use this in cooking (tip: great lemon substitute), but also as a pH buffer to prevent MASK from being too alkaline-y.
